National Escape Room Day in Jacksonville, NC
Every October 1
Every year on October 1, players across the United States celebrate National Escape Room Day, a day for curiosity, creativity, and the power of play. At Cracked It Escape Games, we celebrate by inviting Jacksonville to do what escape rooms do best: get a group together, work as a team, and try to beat the clock.
We're a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice award-winning escape room in Jacksonville, and October 1 is one of our favorite days of the year, because it's the day a lot of people finally try their first room.

What is National Escape Room Day?
National Escape Room Day celebrates the fun, creativity, and connection that escape rooms bring to people everywhere.
An escape room is a live, hands-on adventure. Your group steps into a themed room, finds clues, solves puzzles, and pieces together a story, all before time runs out. It's part game, part story, and completely a team effort. The best moments aren't just the final lock opening; they're the shouts of "wait, look at this!" along the way.
Whether you've played dozens of rooms or one has been on your bucket list for years, October 1 is the perfect time to discover, or rediscover, why people love them.
Never played an escape room?
National Escape Room Day is the perfect time to give it a try, and you're more ready than you think.
You don't need special skills. You don't have to be a puzzle expert, a trivia whiz, or a gamer. Our rooms are built so everyone contributes: one person spots patterns, another searches every corner, another keeps track of what the team has found.
You won't be left stuck. Hints are available whenever your team needs a nudge, so the game keeps moving and the fun stays high.
It's about the experience, not the score. Escape rooms are screen-free entertainment that builds teamwork and creates the kind of stories your group will retell for years. Escape or not, you'll leave laughing. Curious minds welcome.
